Eminem Biggest Selling Artist For The decade – Selling 31,127,000!

Eminem, who was born 2-1/2 years after the Beatles broke up, is the only artist who has sold more albums in this decade than the fabled foursome. Eminem’s new album Relapse sold 608,000 copies this week, lengthening his lead as the artist who has sold the most albums in the 2000s. The rap superstar has sold 31,127,000 albums since the first week of January 2000. In second place: The Beatles, who have sold 27,591,000 albums in the same period. (That’s not bad for a group that broke up in 1970.) The Beatles have done better in this decade relative to the competition than they did in the ‘90s, when they were the #5 album-selling act.
Eminem right now is the G.O.A.T! To be more popular than The Beatles is insane… also let me add that the 608k he sold 1st week is just 1st week sales. Check these other rappers who also made the list, who would of thought Nelly (#7) would be there but lets not forget he has been in the game for so long! Jay Z also made the cut @ (#10) glad to see hip-hop is really still relevant and still making its mark.

ROLLING STONE Eminem "Relapse" Review [4 OUT OF 5 STAR]

So how did Eminem spend his time off? Drugs, mostly. “I fall in bed with a bottle of meds and a Heath Ledger bobblehead” doesn’t even begin to cover it. Relapse, Em’s first album in nearly five years, is studded with brand names, but not Lexus or Cristal — more like Lunesta, Ambien, Vicodin, Valium, NyQuil and other brain candy that helped Marshall Mathers turn himself into a zombie, before he got clean last year. It’s hard to keep all the drugs on this album straight, but that’s probably the point. Relapse is like a hip-hop version of Richard Pryor’s Live on the Sunset Strip, the classic 1982 stand-up flick where Pryor makes the audience squirm through jokes about freebase addiction and setting himself on fire. If it’s stronger than his last album, Encore, that’s because Em’s doing what he does best: cleaning out his closet. And there’s more psychotic shit piled up in there than ever.
Look at the user reviews next to the actual review its the same! I love when the hip-hop is reviewed by people who actually know hip-hop or atleast like hip-hop. As Jay-Z said “Do you fools listen to music or do you just skim though it?”
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of Encore but this album was great! An album that was very creative, which had the humur and dark side of eminem. I’m a fan of his work and his shit suppose to be crazy and entertaining.
