Look who’s won more bragging rights! R&B heartthrob, Jay Sean, didn’t pick up any awards at the MOBOs tonight, but he’s won something much bigger! He announced during the award ceremony that he had just signed a deal with Lil Wayne’s Cash Money Records. I guess this more than makes up for losing out to Dizzie Rascal for best UK male singer!
Jay Sean is the first South Asian artist to get signed on to Cash Money Records, which is a subsidiary of Universal Music. The CEO of the record label, Monte Lipman, recently announced that he wanted the label to veer away from just hiphop and get involved in all different genres of music including soul, rock and pop.

Very entertaining, Cash Money signing everybody that’s hot right now. Just noticed that Jay Sean Featuring Lil Wayne song called Down is number 1 on the billboards right now and I think Jay Sean is signed Cash Money.
