President Obama said today his administration is lifting an immigration ban on persons who have HIV/AIDS virus.
“It’s a step that will encourage people to get tested and get treatment, it’s a step that will keep families together, and it’s a step that will save lives,” Obama said, noting that the process of reversing the rule began during the George W. Bush presidency.
There’s pros and cons to a decision like this. What is your opinion?

This morning, Michelle and I awoke to some surprising and humbling news. At 6 a.m., we received word that I’d been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009.
To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who’ve been honored by this prize — men and women who’ve inspired me and inspired the entire world through their courageous pursuit of peace.
Things like these make the president look like any other guy, lmao when he said that he going to catch heat just like the fly incident! Poor Kanye West haha, anyways I know this is stale news but the audio just came throught.
It was off-the-record but still heard by the world so, that doesn’t make it so off-the-record doesn’t it.
ABC Spokesperson response:
In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview. This was done before our editorial process had been completed. That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again.
I’m sure they knew exactly what they was doing when they tweet this statement, not saying the heat isn’t deserved but still this is a good way to destroy him while he is down. Lets hope the video for this one doesn’t leak or expect millions of parodies! As I said lets hope Kanye West doesn’t go and do something with himself because of the pressure from this one.
NEW YORK – President Barack Obama on Thursday traced his historic rise to power to the vigor and valor of black civil rights leaders, telling the NAACP that the sacrifice of others “began the journey that has led me here.” The nation’s first black president bluntly warned, though, that racial barriers persist.
“Make no mistake: The pain of discrimination is still felt in America,” the president said in honoring the organization’s 100th convention.
White House aides said the President had been working on the speech for two weeks. Obama urged African-Americans to be realistic about some of the difficulties they may face, but to remember that “your destiny is in your hands.”
Hey it doesn’t take a genius to make sense of this. If your goign to use something that will be thrown away then then whats the big fuss? They should be also against them being thrown away. So much things can be done with stem cell research and we have people protesting it? I’m sure if protesters family had some of those diseases they would be rather quiet.
