ANKARA, March 8 (Xinhua) — The death toll from a 6.0-magnitude earthquake that shook eastern Turkey on Monday reached 57, the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet Daily News reported.
Fifty-seven people had been killed by the quake, which caused the most deaths in six villages around the epicenter in the Karakocan town of the eastern province of Elazig, the newspaper quoted Karakocan mayor as saying.
The quake struck Basyurt region of Karakocan town at a depth of 5 km at 4:32 a.m. local time (0232 GMT), said the Istanbul-based Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute of Turkey’s Bogazici University.
This is like the 4th back to back earthquake since Haiti…
BREAKING NEWS — A massive 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck Chile early Saturday, collapsing buildings, killing dozens and downing phone lines. President Michele Bachelet declared a “state of catastrophe” in central Chile and said the death toll was rising.

There have been a number of aftershocks to hit Chile since the quake, the largest one registering at magnitude 6.9, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
So many quakes all for sudden? or are we noticing them now since Haiti.
Everything has changed, its far from like the original but this is a new era and will never be like it was. Yes i agree some parts sounded ef’d up but the auto-tune for example is a part of a growing trend and i’m glad t-pain could have even done his part. Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez has once again accused the United States of playing God. But this time it’s Haiti’s disastrous earthquake that he thinks the U.S. was behind. Spanish newspaper ABC quotes Chavez as saying that the U.S. navy launched a weapon capable of inducing a powerful earthquake off the shore of Haiti. He adds that this time it was only a drill and the final target is … destroying and taking over Iran.
Now that is a huge allegation…I can’t say it’s true or not true but I know he must have some sort of proof to say something like this.

(CNN) — A 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck Tuesday off the Cayman Islands, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The 6.2-mile deep quake hit at 9:23 a.m. ET, 40 miles from George Town, Cayman Islands, the USGS reported. George Town is on the western shore of the island.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
The U.K. territory of the Cayman Islands is about 600 miles west of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, which was devastated last week by a 7.0-magnitude earthquake.
