Germany not a fan of Internet Explorer

The German government has warned web users to find an alternative browser to Internet Explorer to protect security.

The warning from the Federal Office for Information Security comes after Microsoft admitted IE was the weak link in recent attacks on Google’s systems.

Microsoft says the security hole can be shut by setting the browser’s security zone to “high”, although this limits functionality and blocks many websites.

However, German authorities say that even this would not make IE fully safe.

Another reason to use Firefox ha! I say we all boycott IE and use FF or Chrome, never have been a fan of it anyway way too bulky. I guess those Chinese can get jobs working for either browsers mentioned above, and keep updating the malware they made to hack ie so people would stop using it.

Filed under: Tech & Sci — Tags: — Mistah Zee @ 11:44 am

NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Talk about being spaced out on the job.

This week NASA launched an investigation to find out which of its employees breached a zero-tolerance policy on drugs after cocaine was found in a space shuttle hangar. The tiny bag of “space dust” was found outside a bathroom at the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida.

You know what’s really funny? The fact that these guys do get high and higher than anyone else. I guess drugs are everywhere and I think there’s isn’t a more stressful situation than traveling out of space to unexplored territory, so I hope some celebrities realize astronauts got bigger problems than them.

Chrome OS, The End of Desktop PCs?

Of course, there’s still another year to go until Chrome OS is actually released. Google has made the code open source, which is a signal to both developers and enthusiasts to start kicking the tires, but there’s not even the hint of a public beta yet. So there’s still time for things to change. We’re currently working on downloading and compiling the source code to see what it’s really all about—we’ll report back as soon as we can. (more…)
