ABC NEWS: Rihanna Interview “20 20″ w/ Diane Sawyer (Full Interview)

She did blew up really fast, her story is similar to 50 cent’s in terms of speed in which they became famous. It’s so true what she said about best friends falling in love it’s so dangerous because you usually put your all into it.

They really ain’t leaving nothing for the imagination with this interview. Really in depth with the incident that actually took place. It never matters who started it in these types of situations, its more of what escalated. Nobody deserves that to happen to them from anyway you look at it.

She isn’t trying to destroy Chris Brown because she admitted that he never was violent to her before. It’s not a common thing to hear in these situation, most of the time the victim wants their offender to suffer. It’s also very unfortunate that Chis Brown’s mother and Rihanna’s mother went through similar cases of domestic violence and ended up in the same situation.

“I feel like I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears”. I remember when the media was trying to kill Britney and when I hear her situation I always remember that South Park episode. 200 people outside your house, helicopters circulating, wow that’s crazy!

As I said previously, she became a spokes woman for domestic abuse after that situation. She didn’t have to even volunteer, her decisions afterward was was zoomed in and kept an eye on. Rihanna had to be very careful what she did and say because she would be held responsible by the public for decisions made by other victims of domestic violence.

Fame kills, you have the world at your feet, and everyone around you becomes a “yes man”. When i saw the appology vid, I also thought it had some meaning in it but still that he didn’t accept what he did. Hitting a woman is 1 of the top 5 bad things you could ever do.

5 years os staying 10 yards  from someone is a long time and it would not only affect both of there jobs but so much more. She did admit she didn’t hate Chris Brown as some people would love to hear, some just get a kick out of hearing people hating each other. I can imagine the pressure her sponsors could be placing on her, huge co-operations watching as everyone is and keeping an eye on her decisions.

Her advice to those who go through a similar experience: “Don’t react off of love, Ef Love. Come out of the situation and look at it 3rd person and for what it really is, and then make your decision. because love is so blind.”

Just from hearing the interview alone I believe she is an incredibly strong woman. Coming from Barbados, I really admire how far she have come and only wish her to go further. Her story is one of the best success stories I’ve heard since 50 cent’s and what makes it better is she comes from my country which was unknown and made it the spotlight. She has open up door for many Barbadian artist, well to correct myself, many Caribbean artist.
