
New York’s Gawker.com has confirmed that VIBE magazine has been the latest print magazine to close its doors.
Founded in 1993 by music and entertainment mogul, Quincy Jones, VIBE was perceived in the industry, by many, as “the black Rolling Stone.” At its peak, the periodical reportedly boasted a circulation of over 800,000. Famous covers included Eminem, Suge Knight, Barack Obama and more.

Recession really hitting music industry hard, Well with so many blogs right now writing articles as soon as they come out, magazines are becoming obsolete. Why buy a magazine to see stuff you probably saw online 3 weeks ago? Exclusive material found in these magazines can just be posted online. I guess its time to create the perfect website which is very interactive, that can permanently replace the magazine industry. I see People Mag has there own website, and many other Magazines are following in those foot steps.

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) — Michael Jackson’s body will return to his Neverland Ranch on Thursday morning for a public viewing Friday, CNN has learned.
A private memorial service is scheduled for Sunday.
Also, a Jackson will, written in 2002, has been found, according to family lawyer Londell McMillan.
It was not immediately clear whether Jackson’s body would be interred at Neverland.
He purchased the Neverland Ranch, north of Santa Barbara, in 1987 and filled it with animals and amusement rides

Since the release of his third mixtape, So Far Gone, Drake has been heard all over the country. His single, “Best I Ever Had”, is being played on every radio station from coast to coast. And with his debut album, Thank Me Later, scheduled to release sometime this year, rumors have been floating around on which major label Drake would sign to.
Now, after weeks of speculation, Drake has decided to sign with Lil Wayne’s Young Money Records. A deal which breaks down as a joint venture between YM and Cash Money, with Universal Republic handling the distribution.
